Library Services Will Be Paused November 12 – December 8

The Rehoboth Beach Public Library will pause its services from November 12 to December 8.

This is not a permanent shutdown. We are not moving out of the building. This is a temporary closure in order to prepare for renovations to the building.

During this period, we will be packing some items to go into temporary storage and consolidating our collections into one designated space while half of the building is under construction. No items will be available for checkout and the book drop will be closed. All due dates that would normally fall during this time period have been changed to Tuesday, December 9, so you do not need to worry about fines. If you would like to place a book on hold, we recommend temporarily changing your hold pickup location to a nearby library (i.e. Lewes, South Coastal) so that you can still receive it. This can be done on the app, the Delaware Libraries Catalog, or by calling your nearest Delaware public library.

Certain programs will still be offered, but will take place off-site. For more details on where a specific event will be located, please check its description on our Events Calendar.

We plan to reopen on Monday, December 8. We apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to welcoming you back into our building soon!
