Individuals who are Delaware residents with a valid Delaware ID or own property in the state are entitled to a free library card, which can be used in any of Sussex, Kent County’s, or New Castle Coutnty’s public libraries. The physical card must be present to checkout materials and use computers.
Non-Residents
Non-residents may obtain a card, good for one year, for a $25 fee. The card entitles the user full library privileges including databases and statewide library use.
Visitors
A Visitor’s Card is a $10 fee which is good for 30 days for non-residents who would also like to borrow books and use the library’s computers.
Express Session
For a $3 fee, the library computers can be used for 30 minutes.

A photo ID is required for all registrations. Lost cards can be replaced for $2. Please inquire at our circulation desk for more information.
