Summer Reading Program Volunteer

Volunteering at the library is a great way to have fun while improving your community, meeting new people, and gaining experience in the world of librarianship. This year’s National Summer Reading Program, “Color Our World,” will offer a variety of STEAM-based programs that encourage kids to be colorful, innovative, curious, and creative; it will run from June 16th to August 8th, with a few programs each week.

We are looking for a kind and playful volunteer who enjoys assisting children with crafts, art projects, and science experiments. Responsibilities would include:

• Aiding with setting up and cleaning up activities
• Helping children with crafts and projects
• Assisting with children’s book displays
• Helping patrons register for the Summer Reading Program
• Shelving books

Experience with technology (phones, iPads, laptops, and apps/browsers) is a plus!
